A training plan built from the running you actually did.
Zone Two gives Claude your Garmin history. Ask for a half marathon plan and you get one shaped around your real mileage and real paces — then every session lands on your watch.
Free and open source. One file to download — no setup, no terminal, nothing to configure.
Based on my past training, build me a half marathon plan.
Looking at your last twelve months: you built to a 48 km peak week in late January with a 28 km long run, then ran a marathon on 1 March in 4:40 at 6:38/km. Since then you've averaged under 20 km a week, and the last month is closer to 10.
So this isn't a taper — it's a rebuild. Twelve weeks, starting at 20 km and growing about 10% a week, with your easy pace set at 6:45/km rather than the 6:15 you were holding in January. Here's week one:
✓ All four scheduled on your Venu 3 through 30 September
I'm travelling Thursday — move it and make it easier.
Moved to Friday and swapped the intervals for an easy 5 km — you'll have had two rest days by then, so the session would have been wasted anyway. Updated on your watch.
What it does
Reading the data is the easy part. The point is what Claude can do with it.
Plans from your history
Half or full marathon, 10K, or a rebuild after time off — shaped around the weeks you actually ran, not a template.
Sessions on your watch
Each workout is created as a structured session with pace targets and intervals, scheduled to the day. Change your mind and it reschedules.
Export that actually works
Ask for your running history as a spreadsheet and get one — every run, distance, pace and heart rate. No export queue, no waiting for an email.
Should I run today?
Overnight HRV against your baseline, sleep, Body Battery and recent load — read together, with a straight answer.
Make sense of a block
Why March went well and June didn't. Whether your long runs follow bad sleep. Questions a chart can't answer.
Everything else
Sleep stages, stress, Body Battery, weigh-ins, splits, personal records — all of it available when you ask.
Three steps, once
No Python, no terminal, no configuration files.
- Download and open
Claude Desktop recognises the file and shows an install window.
- Sign in to Garmin
Your email and password. The password is used once, to get an access token that stays on your computer.
- Ask for a plan
If you use two-step verification, Garmin emails a code — paste it into the chat. You won't be asked again for about a year.
Where your data goes
Straight to Garmin
Requests go from your computer to Garmin directly. No server in between, no account to create, no analytics.
Your password is used once
Exchanged for an access token kept on your machine. Never written to disk or logged by Zone Two.
Plans can change; history can't
It creates and reschedules workouts freely. It can never delete a recorded activity — there is no such function in it.
Your questions reach Claude
Whatever you ask about becomes part of your conversation, which Anthropic processes. Worth knowing with health data.
Worth knowing first
A plan from Claude is not a coach. It's a sensible plan built from your own numbers, and it doesn't know about your knee, your work trip or how you actually felt on Tuesday. Treat it as a well-informed starting point you adjust.
It uses Garmin's private app interface. Garmin's official API needs a commercial partner agreement, so Zone Two talks to the same interface the Garmin Connect app does. It isn't supported by Garmin and could stop working if they change it.
What you get depends on your watch. Some models don't compute training readiness or VO2 max. Your activity history is always there, which is what plans are built from.
